Spring service – Daikin Gas Package. In this Part 2 of our educational video series on air conditioning repair and maintenance, our Comfort Pro Specialist Jacob explains what he is checking out on some of the elements of the system.

JACOB:  Okay, thanks for checking back in, just in the process of doing the maintenance on this Daikin system right now, we are checking for static pressure, making sure we got good ductwork, non-restrictive and also make sure that we have clean coils at least for the evaporative coil. We’re also checking for motor amps here, making sure our compressor or outdoor fan motor and our blower motor are not over-amping and they’re keeping within factory range. Also check all the electrical connections, we tightened everything, thermostat connections, high voltage and also we check the current controller under there and that’s looking great.

Also check in here for refrigerant levels and temperatures of our outside ambient temps, which are looking great, about 60 degrees outside, nice cool day here in Tucson, everything else is looking great. So we’ll go ahead and let it run for about 15 more minutes, stabilized here and then once we’re done, we’ll go ahead and clean the condenser coils too as part of the Family maintenance plan. We’ll check back in here when we’re done cleaning the coils.

The management and technical team at D&H AC (https://DandHAC.com) is fully committed to educating Tucson home owners as much as possible in what it takes to keep their air conditioning units in excellent working order, quickly repair any part that threatens to break down (so that further, more costly repairs be avoided), and keep their manufacturer’s warranty in full force.

Air conditioning units are exposed all year long to the harsh weather of Arizona, with wide variations in temperature and constant exposure to heat and relentless sun. Motors, metal parts and plastic parts suffer from these weather conditions, and it is absolutely imperative for home owners to be aware of the maintenance requirements of their A/C unit in order to protect their investment and prolong the life of their equipment as long as possible.

These videos are created by D&H AC for the purpose of educating home owners. We welcome any questions you may have about your own air conditioning unit: please call our hotline at [phone] to talk to a service representative or a Comfort Pro Specialist (for Daikin A/C units).
