Interesting service call yesterday at Overton and La Canada, on the NW side of Tucson. Our customer’s air conditioning unit had gone out during the week-end. We started up the unit and noticed that the condenser was not coming on. Upon further inspection, the filter looked to be OK when outside but circuit board was flashing. No sign of high temperature switch lock-out. So we reset the unit, it started up no issue. We checked amp draw on condenser fan motor, and checked amp draw on the compressor. We checked all pressures, checked supply and return air temperature. We let A/C unit operate for a period of 30 minutes and got a good split temperature. The various pressure measurements read where they needed to be at. We checked and tightened electrical connections. At this point in time we observed no further issues with the air conditioning unit which is operating perfectly. We’ll report the incident to the manufacturer for further investigation. NOTE: If you think your air conditioning isn’t working at optimum level, it is probably wise to book an inspection and tune-up appointment with a NATE Air Conditioning technician at D&H.
