A service call in Tangerine Heights, 85755
Performed maintenance on 2 HVAC units. One was a Daikin gas split and the other, a Daikin non-gas split.
Upon arrival customer let us know about an alert on his main house thermostat. It was a code for the outdoor temperature sensor error. When doing maintenance on that unit, we found that sensor connector was almost completely backed off. We reinstalled connector, cleared code, reinspected operation and unit is operating properly.
Checked and tightened all electrical connections, verified refrigerant levels, change air filters, checked compressor running and starting amps, checked fan motor running amps, checked current controllers, checked blower motor amps, checked blower condition, clean and flush condensate lines, water cleaned condenser coils.
Found unit for casita had high starting amps, recommend hard-start kit. Also found that condenser unit for casita had no surge protection and the furnace for main house did not have surge protection. We installed 2 surge protectors.
